Friends of Dr.Owusu Afriyie Akoto Congratulate Him For Winning The 2020 Pan African Heroes Award

The Majority Leader and Minister for Parliamentary Affairs,  Hon. Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu has asserted that the country should count herself as very lucky to have a Minister for Food and Agriculture in the person of Hon. Dr. Owusu Afriyie Akoto.

The experienced Legislator and Member of Parliament for Suame, says the dynamic and innovative policies and programmes introduced by the Government in the agricultural sector, led by Dr. Owusu Afriyie Akoto,  have achieved unprecedented successes, resulting in Ghana placing first amongst countries in West Africa in terms of food security.

“This Government,  under President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo has changed the face of Agriculture within a matter of four years; today Ghana has been adjudged the best performer of Agriculture in West Africa ” He noted.

According to him, the achievement is a result of the laudable policies and programmes introduced under the Planting for Food and Jobs initiative.

The Majority Leader,  who was addressing party supporters at UCEW- K during a  Health Walk and Campaign organized by the Kwadaso Constituency branch of the ruling party,  therefore charged supporters of the party to unite behind the leadership of the party to achieve a resounding victory comes December 7.

Hon. Kyei Mensah Bonsu stated that President Akufo Addo deserves to win with a wider margin, higher than the one million recorded in 2016 because of the sterling performance of this administration.

“We must banish and retire John Mahama from active politics after the 2020 elections” He stressed, adding that his massive defeat after the December polls should deter him from making even the slightest attempt to come back.

The Majority Leader, therefore, charged supporters,  particularly in the Kwadaso Constituency to rally behind the leadership of the party to garner massive votes for the Presidential and Parliamentary Candidates.
