Lawyer Nana Obiri Boahen, a prominent member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), claims that Ghana has been endowed with many opportunities, but has not taken advantage of them.
Lawyer Nana Obi Boahen attributed the failure of the nation’s leadership to persuade Ghanaians living abroad to make investments in their homeland.
His remarks are based on his recent visit to the NPP Germany branch and his personal experience there.
“Diasporan Ghanaians are eager to invest in the country, but the frustrations they will face will drive them away,” he lamented.
He declared that Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the NPP presidential candidate, would end Ghana’s misfortunes if elected as President in the upcoming elections.
He threatened to bring sanity between the President and investors by making sure that, should Dr. Bawumia win the presidency, some young people would not be employed at the Jubilee House.
In order to close the gap between the nation and Ghanaians living abroad, Lawyer Nana Obiri Boahen advocated for the creation of regional capitals for diaspora affairs.
