The Senior Manager for Engineering and Maintenance, at Ghana Gas, Ing Maxwell Kelly, disclosed during an interaction with journalists in Takoradi.
He attributed the milestone to the prudent safety and maintenance culture laid out by the company to deliver gas in a more effective and efficient manner.
He said the company had been able to deliver on critical national assignments like the Karpowership project without any incident.
Ing. Kelly praised the media for disseminating quality and accurate information about the company over the last 10 years, and also thanked all stakeholders and industry players for keeping faith with the company.
For his part, the company’s Corporate Communications Director, Ernest Owusu Bempah, acknowledged that the media’s role in updating the public within the upstream petroleum industry were critical.
He said such roles could be carefully developed with a capacity building adding, “We are looking at developing a course in these areas within the various universities particularly, journalism institutions. This will help to get more journalists to have good knowledge and understanding in the subject areas.”
The company, he announced, would conduct a media tour in 2023 for practitioners to have a better appreciation of situations within the various setups at the gas processing plant.
