In this digital age, Ghana doesn’t have to subscribe to a leader seeking to go on honeymoon should he be elected as President, Chairman Wontumi has said.
The Ashanti regional Chairman for the New Patriotic Party was directing responding to former President John Dramani Mahama who has said he needs to be given time to go on honeymoon should he be voted for as the next President of Ghana.
In an interview with Movementtvonline.com, Chairman Wontumi explained that when it comes to national issues, former President Mahama doesn’t make sense.
Chairman Wontumi wondered if Mr. Mahama hasn’t had all the honeymoon in the last eight years he has been unemployed and unproductive to the development of Ghana.
“Hasn’t Mahama had all the honeymoon he ever wished to have in the last eight years”, he said.
“I am amazed at him because Mahama has been vice President of Ghana for two years and another two years, he became President by default. He then got four years as President and was booted out of power.
For close to eight years, he has been receiving salary from the state as a former President but he doesn’t make sense when it comes to national issues and it is clear we are wasting the tax payer’s money on him”, he said.
