As a women’s activist, Hon.Ursula Owusu on Friday 7 June ,2019 defended President Akufo’s comments on Women Dynamism and empowerment after a statement he made about women dynamism and activism at a Conference in Vancouver, Canada generated a debate.

According to her, it is not the noise that will effect changes ,we have done it all, we have done the advocacy but we realized it’s not enough.

She meant the president in his argument only sought to issue a clarion call to the “dead women” advocacy in the country. She further stated that:

“Women activists must support women in politics ” in order that we may get along our male colleagues to ensure that we encourage more women.
She said some actions are termed as “armchair feminism which doesn’t achieve results”.
