Frimpong Kodua Warns: NDC’s Free SHS Review is a Cancellation

The general secretary of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), Justin Frimpong Kodua, has sounded the alarm on the opposition National Democratic Congress’s (NDC) decision to review the Free Senior High School (SHS) policy.

According to Kodua, the review is a thinly veiled attempt to cancel the FSHS policy altogether.

He claimed that the NDC’s review is a threat to the progress made so far and would undermine the government’s efforts to promote education as a right, not a privilege.

“The NDC has always been opposed to the Free SHS policy, they’ve claimed it’s unsustainable and too expensive.

Kodua called on Ghanaians to be vigilant and not allow the NDC to cancel the policy.

“We must stand up for our children’s education,” he said. “We must stand up for the future of our country. We won’t let the NDC take us backward.”

He said Ghanaians should make sure NDC don’t sabotage the Free SHS policy.

“The NDC’s review is a cancellation in disguise, they’re using the review as a smokescreen to hide their true intentions. We all saw how a review of teachers and nurses allowance ended, a review of NHIS and many other policies that they claimed to review has all collapsed under John Mahama, let as not allow them review Free SHS at all”
