Free SHS Has Reduced Teenage Pregnancy Drastically In Sekyere Kumawu District – DCE

The Sekyere Kumawu District has achieved a remarkable milestone in reducing teenage pregnancy, according to the District Chief Executive (DCE), Samuel Addai Agyekum. In a recent interview, Mr. Agyekum proudly announced that the district has recorded zero teenage pregnancies in recent years in the basic and secondary schools, a feat he attributed to the positive impact of the Free SHS policy by thE Government and a collective efforts of the district assembly, health officials, and community leaders.

This achievement is a significant turnaround for the district, which had previously struggled with high rates of teenage pregnancy. However, through a concerted effort to improve access to education and healthcare, the district has been able to reverse this trend.

Mr. Agyekum attributed the success to the NPP Government initiative implemented by Nana Akufo Addo and Dr Bawumia.

The DCE made this announcement during a Town Hall Meeting ceremony to commemorate the district’s success, performance and highlighting on projects going on within the district. The event was attended by Assembly Members, health officials, teachers, and community leaders who have worked together to achieve this milestone.

The district’s efforts have been praised by many experts and educators, who says that the achievement is a testament to the power of a visionary leader.
