Free SHS Given Assin North Massive Facelift- DCE, Hon. Charles Ohene Andoh
Hon. Charles Ohene Andoh, District Chief Executive for Assin North has emphatically stated that, the free SHS policy that has been introduced by Nana Akufo-Addo and Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia has given the area a massive facelift and this has been widely embraced by the people in district which is predominantly rural.
He said one major manifestation of the reality on the ground is that most of the children from the most deprived communities can now access free Senior High School.
According to Hon. Andoh, who was speaking on Wontumi TV/Radio’s Elections 2020 hosted by Oheneba Nana Asiedu, the three Senior High Schools in the area now record an usual high numbers of student enrolment.
“Assin North SHS for instance has a student population which has since the introduction of the free SHS shot up to about 3000 while Assin State College another prominent school in the area has also recorded 1,500 students with Jassi SHS also battling with a huge number of enrolment.”
Hon. Andoh emphasized that the free SHS has really had a great impact on the wellbeing of the people in the area, a feat which has gone a long way to endear the NPP to the people of Assin North.
“The signals are everywhere as far as my District is concerned that it would be Impossible for John Mahama to be given a second.” He emphasized.
