Forestry Commission Bans Killing Of Wild Animals

The Forestry Commission has banned persons from killing and capturing wild animals effective 1st August 2021 to 1st December, 2021.

The Public Relations Officer (PRO), for the Commission announced this in an interview on Wontumi TV/Radio.

She said, “the animals are the nation’s culture and heritage so therefore they need to be protected.”

She emphasized that, the only animal that people can kill or catch in that period is grasscutter.

But she was quick to say that, a person needs to secure license before he can kill the grasscutter.

“Let us protect the animals and obey the rules. it will help the country to develop,” the Forestry Commission PRO said.
