A university lecturer has stated that in any serious country, former President John Mahama would be banned from engaging in politics just as FIFA recently banned some of its officials from dabbling in anything related to football.
Dr. Solomon Kwarteng Forkuo in an interview on the Wontumi Morning Show which was monitored by Wontumionline.com, stated that the former President was afforded the Presidency on a silver platter but misused it.
According to him the incompetence of Mr. Mahama is enough reason for Ghanaians to reject him in 2024 if he is presented as the flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
“He is the same person who has said that 4 years is not enough to use to govern and develop Ghana”, Dr. Forkuo said and questioned what Mr. Mahama seeks to do if given power to rule the country for 4 years.
“If this is a serious country, Mahama would be banned from politics. Just like FIFA banned some people from watching football, it is the same way he has to be banned”, he suggested.
Former President John Dramani Mahama has officially picked up nomination forms to run in his party’s upcoming presidential primaries. This comes a day after he told some members of the Minority Caucus of his plans to run during a meeting.
