In what can be best described as the greatest catastrophe in an organized demonstration, campaigners of the #FixTheCountry witnessed a shameful protest as their quest to disgrace the government of President Akufo-Addo turned out to be a massive flop.
Led by Oliver Barker-Vormawor, the planned protest which was heavily sponsored by the National Democratic Congress (NDC), was poorly attended.
Wontumi TV counted only 7 members protesting against President Akufo-Addo at the premise of Ghana’s High Commission in the UK.
In a separate interview with Otto-Acheampong, a Ghanaian based in UK, he reported that rather than seeing the NDC sponsored demo spark fire, 200 Ghanaians rather poured out on the street to congratulate President Akufo-Addo for fixing Ghana.
“Only 7 people led by Oliver came out to protest. He came in the company of known NDC members in London but he claims he is neutral person”, Otto-Acheampong said to reinforce the truth that the NDC is behind the #FixTheCountry campaigners.
He added that the reason 200 Ghanaians stormed out to support President Akufo-Addo is to tell the world that under his leadership Ghana, has is doing very well.
Otto-Acheampong stated that he had to seek green pastures in UK because of former President John Mahama.
“I left Ghana because of the bad governance of Mahama but in the last 4 years, Akufo-Addo has been doing unprecedented things”, he explained.
He added that to the best of his knowledge, he knows Mr. Mahama’s government froze public sector employment but under President Akufo-Addo, he has ensured people are being recruited into various work places.
NDC’s Role
Not long ago, the National Organiser for the NDC Joshua Akamba was caught on video plotting to initiate a ‘missile’ attack on President Akufo-Addo.
The NDC man in a meeting which transpired on Zoom was captured urging members of his party to also cook and publish false stories about the government of President Akufo-Addo to drive away investors from doing business in Ghana.
“So when your missiles start coming up and identifying it or writing to BBC and writing to our people in UK and making stories and making people to understand that the NPP are thieves and they are destroying this country- they won’t change [sic],” Joshua Akamba said.
