The Ashanti Regional Chairman of the Great Consolidated Popular Party (GCPP), Mr. Kofi Owusu Omar, says Ghanaians should not attribute the fight against the illegal mining to partisan politics.
He said that, all hands should be on deck to fight against galamsey to protect the land and the natural resources.
“Let us all fight against what will torment us in future,” Chairman Omar pleaded when he appeared on Wontumi Radio and TV Morning Show on Wednesday.
The GCPP Chairman emphasized that, anybody who will breach the mining laws must be dealt with accordingly.
According to him, President Akufo-Addo is not taking away the ends meet from the actors rather protecting the resources to save the country from any future calamity.
Chairman Omar indicated that, during the peak of the Coronavirus if not the good leadership President Akufo-Addo exhibited, Ghanaians would have found themselves wanting.
