Exam Leakage: WAEC Needs Competitor, Their System Is Outmoded- Lecturer

A Lecturer at the Kumasi Technical University (KSTU), Dr Solomon Kwarteng Fokuoh has scolded the West African Examination Council (WAEC) over the leakage of exam papers.

According to him, the examination body uses old-fashioned system and that they need a competitor.

In an interview with Oheneba Nana Asiedu on Wontumi TV, Dr Kwarteng Fokuoh said, should the WAEC have been dragged to court, they would have changed their system.

“WAEC should be ahead of the criminals. They have to set printing houses across the country and not only in Accra,” the KSTU Lecturer suggested.

Dr Kwarteng Fokuoh pressed that, the examination body should change their mode of distributing the question papers.

However, he bemoaned that, “the assessment method of the students is awful. Examination has become do-or-die for the students. We can train them and give them certificates,” he said.
