The European Union Ambassador to Ghana, Irchad Ramiandrasoa Razaaly, has praised by Mr. Bernard Antwi-Boasiako for ditching his private car to board public transport, known in Ghanaian parlance as ‘tro-tro’.
Mr. Bernard Antwi-Boasiako popularly known as Chairman Wontumi observed that the move by the EU Ambassador to Ghana was a tourism booster and plus for the various security services in Ghana.
Irchad Ramiandrasoa Razaaly was spotted wearing a pair of slippers while waiting in a queue to join his ‘tro-tro’.
Chairman Wontumi stressed that not all African countries are safe for foreign ambassadors to board public transport.
“It means that our security is very good. Irchad Ramiandrasoa Razaaly can’t do it at Nigeria, Burkina Faso, Sierra Leone, Mali, Côte d’Ivoire. So if he can sit in ‘tro-tro’ means that our security is very good”, Chairman Wontumi explained to Wontumionline.com.
He reserved special praise for the Inspector General of Police, George Akuffo Dampare and also called on the tourism sector to use this as promotion to attract people into Ghana.
