Education @ Nkoranza North Helped Curbed COVID-19 Spread- DCE
The District Chief Executive of Nkoranza North, Gifty Akosua Arthur, has disclosed that, education about the Coronavirus pandemic helped curb the spread of the disease in her area.
She noted that, a committee was formed with the Ghana Fire Service and herself among to educate the residents.
Speaking on Election 2020 on Kumasi-based Wontumi Radio and TV, Hon. Akosua Arthur, indicated that, COVID-19 measures were laid down for the residents to comply.
According to her, due to the fear of the Coronavirus, a section of the residents didn’t want to participate in the voters’registration exercise.
The Nkoranza North DCE stated that, she and the committee moved from one place to the other and educated the eligible applicants on the need to secure a voter’s ID card.
“They came in their numbers to register after the education. The figures that were recorded were more than the previous exercises.”
“The exercise was successful because the area is a very peaceful place.” Hon Akosua noted.
