Education Ministry To Make Reforms In Learning At Basic Level
The Education Ministry has hinted at making reforms in reading and writing at the basic level.
The Deputy Education Minister, Hon. Gifty Twum Ampofo revealed this on Wontumi Radio and TV Morning Show.
She bemoaned that, at least a pupil should be able to read and write from kindergarten to upper primary.
Hon. Twum Ampofo said some pupils in primary six, JHS and SHS suffer from dyslexia.
The Deputy Education Minister subjected this to the number of subjects the pupils learn in school.
“Minister wants to reduce the number of subjects learnt in school to help the vulnerable pupils know how to read and write,” she said.
