EC, Akufo-Addo Lawyers Right Not To Let Any Witness Mount Witness Box- Dr. Kwasi Kyei
Director of Communications for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Kwasi Kyei Darkwa says it is a good decision by both lawyers of the Electoral Commission (EC) and Nana Akufo-Addo not to let any witness mount the witness box in the election petition.
According to him, the NDC have no figures to juxtapose the total figures of the 2020 election results.
Participating on the Talk Ghana Political programme which is aired on Wontumi Radio/TV, Dr. Kwasi Kyei affirmed that, the election petition case was supposed to be heard in a nursery classroom but not in a court.
“The petition was dead on arrival. NDC have no evidence to buttress their case.” He told Oheneba Nana Asiedu.
He affirmed that, ” Asiedu Nketiah said he trained people to tour all the 38,000 polling centers and that John Mahama won 141 seats and for that matter, he won the election but in the court he denied saying that.
The NPP Communications Director fumed that, if he is a member of the NDC, he would have slapped the witnesses.
“They are deceiving their supporters and fooling them as well. The truth must be told. Any supporter who sustained injury, sustained it with no benefit,” he said.
According to him, he doesn’t understand why, the third witness for the Petitioner, Robert Joseph Mettle Nunoo went to the EC’s strongroom without his phone charger and said also that, he was offered a tea without biscuit.
Dr. Kwasi Kyei said, Ghanaians should notice that, NDC have no case in the election petition.
