Eagle Lager, a brand of Accra Brewery PLC (ABL), has partnered with the Ghana Draught Association (GDA) to launch the maiden edition of the 2022 National Draught Championship under the tutelage of His Royal Majesty, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II.
The event is slated for 29th- 31st July 2022 at the forecourt of Manhyia Palace.

The brand’s partnership with the Ghana Draught Association seeks to grow the sport from the community to regional and national levels in subsequent years.
The GDA President, Nana Kwaku Afriyie in his address said draught is an engrossing game to play.
Nana Kwaku Afriyie said the game of draught helps the aged to be entertained.
He said it is not a game for the lazy.
He was hopeful that the game will curb immoral acts among the youth.
For his part, the Director General of National Sports Authority (NSA) Peter Twumasi commended the GDA for the frantic effort put up for making sure the game of draught has been recognised by the NSA.
Peter Twumasi appealed to the GDA to extend the competition to every Region.
He said sports is the only platform that unifies the citizens so therefore he impels GDA to use the game to unite the citizens together.
To this end, Peter Twumasi pledged that the NSA will offer its maximum support to GDA.
