E/R: Akyemansa DCE, Hon. Paul Asamoah Showcases His Achievements On Wontumi TV/Radio In A Grandstyle

Hon. Paul Asamoah, District Chief Executive of Akyemansa in the Ofoase-Ayirebi Constituency has given a detailed account of his impressive achievements when he featured live on Kumasi-based Wontumi Radio and TV.

In the educational sector, one of the major projects which has undergone a facelift is the abandoned ultra-modern science block at Ayirebi Senior High School. The completion of the project was initiated by Hon Asamoah.

The Abandoned Science Block

In an interview on Election 2020 political programme on Wontumi Radio/TV in Kumasi, he disclosed that, the science block project was commenced by former President John Agyekum Kufour in 2008 but unfortunately ,he left office while it was yet to be completed.

He expressed regret that for the eight years rule of the previous NDC government all that could be done was to roof the block but the wood supporting it got rotten making the structure unfit for use.

The Completion of the science block by the DCE and the MP for the area

He noted that, in the heat of the 2012 election campaign former President John Mahama made a pledge to furnish the lab because he saw it as an important project but this never happened when he later became the President.

“The students were compelled to learn under trees during the NDC era.” Hon. Asamoah said

According to him, what has become of the current circumstance of the facility is a proof that when a good government takes over the administration of a country positive change happens.

Hon. Asamoah explained further that, the rule of the NPP government since 2016, has been beneficial particularly to his district because it has led to the completion of the science block project.
