The Vice President of the Republic of Ghana, His Excellency Alhaji Dr Mahmoud Bawumia has commissioned a campaign office at the Asokwa Municipality in the Ashanti region with a call on the rank and file of colle flagbearer hopefuls who are soliciting votes from delegates to lead the party in the upcoming 2024 general elections to stick to clean and decent campaign devoid of insults and casting of insinuations.
According to the vice president, all those contesting for the NPP flagbearership including himself qualifies to lead the party to victory 2024 but he is the best person to Break the “8”.
His Excellency Alhaji Dr Mahmoud Bawumia sounded these remarks when he was commissioning an ultra modern Office complex donated by Nana Nkansah Boadu Ayeboafo, the chief of Agric Nzema to be used as Campaign office for the Ashanti regional NPP.
The spacious building complex which is situated in Asokwa, a suburb of Kumasi-Ashanti Region has a variety of offices to accommodate and coordinate the activities of all the 47 constituencies in the Ashanti region.
The colorful event which attracted NPP stalwarts like the member of parliament for Suame , Hon Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu , who double as the minister for Parliamentary Affairs and also the majority leader in parliament, the Ashanti regional chairman of the NPP, Mr Bernard Antwi Boasiako , and all his regional executives, Metropolitan, Municipal and District Chief Executives in the Ashanti region, some CEO’s , Friends of Bawumia , including other Bawumia Fun clubs and teeming NPP sympathizers and members .
Coincidentally, Alhaji Dr Mahmoud Bawumia has begin a tour to all the 47 constituencies within the Ashanti region where he will be meeting delegates of NPP to sell his message to them and offer him the opportunity to lead the party as a flagbearer in order to enable him Break the “8 ” to maintain the NPP in government come 2025.
The vice president will spend some weeks to complete his visit to NPP delegates in the Ashanti region.
On his part, the chief of Agric Nzema, Nana Boadu Nkansah Ayeboafo, endorses the candidature of Dr Bawumia entreated all members of the party especially delegates to rally behind the vice president to lead the NPP in 2034 elections…added the second lady Her. Excellency Samira Bawumia is his daughter and she was the reason for the release of the office complex and affirmed his support for Dr. Bawumia and fraternity.
