The Bono Regional Chairman for the New Patriotic Party, Kwame Baffoe Abronye has taken Haruna Iddrisu to the cleaners for bastardizing the Judiciary.
The Member of Parliament for Tamale South, Hon. Iddrisu is in the news for describing the Judiciary as being manipulated to “tilt the balance of power” simply because a Cape Coast High Court canceled results of the parliamentary elections in the Assin North constituency for the 2020 elections.
According to the NDC MP, “what is worrying, we don’t want to believe, is that the courts of Ghana have been captured, and that the courts have become a forum being used surreptitiously to tilt the balance of power.”
He continued among other things that, “We are equaled – 137: 137. What is happening is that the courts now are being used to tilt the balance of power and to weaken the time-tested historical notion of checks and balances.”
But responding to his unfounded attacks on the Judiciary, Kwame Baffoe Abronye stated that Hon. Iddrisu deserves to be in prison rather than be in Parliament.
He was shocked that the NDC MP who is famed for taking double salary under the erstwhile Mahama government, could have the nerve to attack the Judiciary with impunity.
Speaking on Wontumi TV, the NPP Chairman fired the Haruna Iddrisu by reminding him that “are you better than Ghanaians in prison? You have the face of a person that deserves to be in prison. Thieves like you, instead of taking salary as minister, you were taking double salary amounting to 48million.”
