Akuapem Poloo has warned netizens not to read meanings into her post per the content of a new information she shared on her IG platform.
She made the comment immediately after some netizens argued that her previous post where she thanked the judiciary of Ghana was a way of celebrating the court sentence ruled against Afia Schwarzeneger in her defamation case against Chairman Wontumi.
Recall that a High Court in Tema, on Thursday, December 1, 2022 fined Fadda Dickson Narh, Felicity Nana Ama Agyeman aka Empress Nana Ama Mcbrown, Valentina Nana Agyeiwaa, alias Afia Schwarzeneger, Kwame Asare Obeng, alias Kwame A Plus and Emmanuel Barnes alias Mr. Logic who have had issues with the law, based on a panel discussion held on United Showbiz, a television entertainment discussion programme on UTV.
She is to spend 10 days in prison when arrested while the others were slapped with a ¢60,000 fine each.
Not too long after, Akuapem Poloo wrote on her Instagram page, “Last Year December by this time, I was on my way to Nsawam Prison. Thank You Allah thank you the judiciary thank you Ghana thank you the whole world.”
On the back of this, people insinuated that she was jubilating over the misfortune that has befallen her antagonist, Afia. However, she issued a disclaimer instantly distancing her from the fallacy shaping people’s perspective.
“I didn’t even know Afia Schwarzenegger will be jailed. I was just happy I am free and December 1 marks a year I was in Jail. Ghanaians should be happy for me instead of reading meanings into my post. Although Afia Schwarzenegger said unpleasant things about me when I was in jail, I will never wish bad for her,” she stated.
