Don’t Maintain Incompetent MMDCEs To Take NPP To Opposition- Bono Youth Charge Akufo-Addo (VIDEO)
Youth in the Bono Region have tasked President Akufo-Addo not to retain incompetent District Chief Executive Officers (DCEs) in the area.
According Victor Owusu Ansah, if the President maintains them, it would lead to the collapse of the party.
Speaking on Wontumi Radio/TVs flagship programme ‘Talk Ghana’, he said the incompetency of some of the DCEs contributed to the dwindling parliamentary seats.
Pastor Kwaku as he is fondly called, pleaded with President Akufo-Addo no to retain the incumbent MCE for Wenchi, Hon. Dr. Prince Kwakye Afriyie.
He explained that, the MCE contributed to the defeat of the NPP MP, Prof. George Gyan-Baffour, in the area.
“Dr. Kwakye Afriyie has brought disunity and division among the Assembly Members and the NPP party executives”.
He was notable that, If NPP wants to re-capture the Wenchi and the other Parliamentary seats, President Akufo-Addo should not maintain him,”he told Oheneba Nana Asiedu.
“Why should we lose the Wenchi seat? President Akufo-Addo should axed him. We don’t want arrogant MCE,” The member of the Bono Regional NPP communications team fumed.
He said, Joe Mensah, Suala Bamba and Alexander Obour have good human relationship and any of them qualifies to be given the MCE position.
“DCEs’ responsibility is to represent the government in the District and work hard to make the government to be attractive. For the MPs, after the election they go to Parliament to make laws.”
He reiterated that, President Akufo-Addo should axe every DCE who did not help his member of Parliament to win the seat.
Victor Owusu Ansah re-emphasized that, if NPP wants to break the eight, President Akufo-Addo and the Vetting Committee should heed to the cry of the Bono youth.
