Harsh reactions from members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) directed to President Akufo-Addo over recent death cases recorded in Ejura, has angered Mr. Henry K. Duah.
Shortly after security officers clashed with some youth at Ejura, resulting in the death of two persons, former President Mahama issued a statement calling on President Akufo-Addo to de-escalate tension in the area.
His statement was topped up with another statement from his party (NDC) which stated that they are planning to stage a protest and present a petition to the President at Jubilee House.
But the narrative of the NDC and Mr. Mahama have been rubbished by the Constituency Youth Organizer for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in Ejisu, Henry K. Duah, who believes there is nothing sensible in their move.
Speaking on Wontumi TV’s Talk Ghana Show, the NPP stalwart stated that President Akufo-Addo has already tasked the Interior Minister, Ambrose Dery to look into matter and report his findings to him within 10.
The task to the Minister, according to Henry K. Duah makes the move by Mr. Mahama and the NDC a confused one.
He therefore wondered if the NDC and Mr. Mahama were looking forward to President Akufo-Addo picking a cane to lash the police and youth of Ejura.
“Do you want the President to go for cane and lash the youth or the police? Don’t sit in Accra and assume you know what is going on”, he said.
