She said, “yours is to learn, come to school regularly and put up very a good behaviour throughout the last days of your stay in school…form study groups and discuss problems…the “Apo” you are waiting for must be your earnest preparation to conquer any question that will appear on the exams paper”.
The EKMA Director of Education was speaking to hundreds of Takoradi Senior High School Final Year Students (TADISCO), during an induction ceremony to formerly admit them to the old student’s association.
The old Studnets are known as Tadolsans with a tagline, “Seek the Best”.
She said , success was not achieved on a silver platter but through determination and hard work.
Mrs Biney described TADISCO as a great institution which had trained Journalists, lawyers, Diplomats, Business moguls and people of high repute in society, adding, “this must spur you for higher heights”.
Later, Lawyer Fiifi Buckman, an old students administered the oath of allegiance to the students and encouraged them to have clean records in the school as their future endeavours and successes had direct bearings on the academic and moral records that they might leave behind.
Lawyer Buckman narrated, “I was looking for a job and was asked to list all schools attended…and I am sure the due diligence team came to this very school to inquire about my personality while on campus”.
The occasion was also used by the 1993-year group to donate sports jerseys, footballs, and other sporting materials to the school.
