Deprived Communities In Ahafo Ano North Not Neglected – MP Assures

The Member of Parliament for Ahafo Ano North, Hon Suleman Adamu, has assured communities yet to be provided with potable water and other social amenities that the government will not abandon them because there are plans to meet their urgent needs.

The deprived communities include Bediako, Pokukrom New Site, Odikro Nkwanta and Atobrah Manhuntem. They are all yet to be provided with potable water which is an essential need for them.

The MP was speaking on Wontumi TV/Radio early morning talks how programme hosted by Oheneba Nana Asiedu on Monday.

According to Hon Suleman Adamu, the government has its own development agenda which is following a specific process of implementation and those yet to have their needs fulfilled need to exercise restraint since it will by all means get to their turn.

He said the communities which are yet benefit from the government’s infrastructural projects should not feel neglected ” because the government has them in its long term plan and at the most opportune time, their interest will be catered for.”

“Every community shall have its turn in receiving its fair share of the national cake so those yet to be catered for only need to support the government and help Nana Addo Dankwa to have a smooth ride for his second term in office.” Hon Suleman Adamu noted

Recounting some of the challenges facing the deprived communities The MP said it used to be lack of educational infrastructure for some of them but residents of a place like Odikro Nkwanta have been lucky to have some of their challenges addressed.

According to the him “the Odikro Nkwanta community has been provided with a six classroom block thus, giving them a big relief .”

“Plans are also far advanced to extend electricity to Pokukrom as well as the reshaping of its main access road.. Gradually, we are opening up theses deprived areas.” Hon Suleman Adamu noted.

For the Atobra community, whose road is so bad the MP gave the assurance that “ everything will soon be done to give them hope since the government has plans to give it a befitting face lift.”

The road network in all the deprived areas as mentioned is mostly in a deplorable state but he gave the assurance that “the bad nature of the road will be improved as soon as possible since it forms part of the government’s plans to develop the area.”
