Pastor, Dr. Kwabena Annor Baofo, a lecturer at the Valley View University, has urged the president of the Republic, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to declare a one week nationwide fasting and prayers.
To him, this measure will bring together all political parties, to sustain the peace and harmony in the nation ahead 2024 polls.
Speaking on Wontumi TV on 23rd February, 2024, he expressed his dissatisfaction on the resignation of the majority leader in Parliament.
According to reports, the leader of the majority caucus, who is also the member of Parliament for Suame Constituency, Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu resigned his position on 21st February, 2024.
Reacting to this, Dr. Annor explained that this move by Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu will interfere in the unity of the political party.
According to him, it would have been best if there was an official communique on the resignation rather than the speculations in the media.
“The press conference was not to be held earlier if there was no official release. The NPP should resolve all misunderstandings before it is put on social media” he stressed.
