Deal With Issues; Don’t Stoke Tribal Flames- Nana B Cautions John Mahama

The National Youth Organizer of the New Patriotic Party, Henry Nana Boakye, has cautioned the flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress, Mr. John Mahama, to be circumspect in his utterances and avoid stoking tribal flames.

His caution to Mr. Mahama comes on the back of the statement he published which described the people of Akyem as ‘Sakawa Boys.

In an interview on Peace FM which was monitored by Wontumionline.com, the NPP Youth Organizer noted that such a statement from Mr. Mahama is a dangerous call.

Accoriding to the NPP stalwart popularly known as Nana B, the flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress could have “taken a direct swipe at President Akufo-Addo without bringing in a whole tribe in his statement”.

He advised that politicians should learn from this mistake and “change the narrative” as we approach the 2020 general elections.

If someone in my party makes I similar comment, I will condemn it”, he said.

Nana B therefore called on former President John Mahama to deal with issue and avoid playing the tribal cards.

The ‘Sakawa Boys’ post from Mr. Mahama according to Nana “was in bad taste and every leading person in Ghana should condemn it. We shouldn’t stoke tribal flames.
