Over the last few months, Ghanaians and music lovers across the globe have been wooed by the talent of Black Sherif.
Black Sherif was underground doing great music but just like seeds, he shot out of the ground and his growth amazed thousands.
His voice and delivery on songs positioned him as the new favorite with many veterans applauding his style.
Shockingly, Black Sherif was not a flash in the pan as many music sensations from Ghana are. He maintained his shine and remained relevant till date.
His sound even transcended to other countries in Africa and had Grammy award winning Nigerian singer Burna Boy doing a free verse for him on his Second Sermon freestyle.
Everyone would want to associate with Black Sherif and tap into his shine but we didn’t expect DBlack to overdo it.
Black Sherif in all his songs shout and respond to the tag ‘Blacko’ just as other musicians have their tags.
Desmond Blackmore aka DBlack has intentionally changed his name on all social media platforms to ‘Big Blacko’, a complete rip off from Black Sherif’s tag.
A section of Ghanaians have expressed anger towards the Black Avenue record label owner and musician DBlack for changing his tag to ‘Big Blacko’, a tag which is used by young musician Black Sherif.
D-Black made it obvious that he was trying to ride on Black Sherif’s shine to stay relevant as a musician.
D-Black is not doing bad in the industry. He has a club banger out there and is doing a great job managing S3fa under his label.
Why would he change his name to ‘Big Blacko’ just when Black Sherif is at his peak?
