Lawyer Obiri Boahen, the former deputy general secretary for the New Patriotic Party, says it will be difficult for the Convention People’s Party (CPP) to have a single parliamentary candidate in the coming days.
According to him, the Convention People’s Party has become extinct.
He is of the view that, the CPP was formed from falsehood, leading to its non existence.
“CPP was formed out of falsehood, born out of falsehood, conceived out of falsehood, born out of falsehood and nurtured the same way.
Speaking on State of Ghana Show on Wontumi TV, he noted that the CPP could not thrive due to lies as its foundation.
“Nkrumah has arrested all the officials who contributed to pay for his plan ticket to Ghana, most of them lost their beloved families while in prison, others couldn’t bounce back in life. Boafour Akoto, Obikyenbi, Akuffo Addo and the rest later suffered in the hands of Nkrumah.”
“How can you pay back wickedness to people who helped you like this and expect your party to exist,” he asked
He added “Out of 275 parliamentarians, CPP has none because of lies, and I don’t think they will even get one parliamentary candidate in the foreseeable future.
Lawyer Obiri Boahen finally implored the CPP to join hands with other existent political parties.
