COVID: About 1.034 Million Ghanaians Receive First Dose, 800,000 Fully Vaccinated
The Programs Manager for the Extended Immunisation Program, Dr Kwame Amponsah Achiano has disclosed that about 1.034 million Ghanaians have received their first jab.
He said 800,000 people have been fully vaccinated out of the above figure.
In an interview on “The Privileged Morning Show on Wontumi Radio, Dr Achiano indicated that Greater Accra holds the highest number of vaccinated people since it’s the hotspot for the COVID.
He said Ghana has made a significant improvement in procuring vaccines.
The Programmes Manager for the Immunisation Program revealed that the country will on Sunday receive 1.5 million doses from Germany.
However, Dr Achiano said the vaccination exercise will resume across the 260 Districts in the country tomorrow.
