Covid-19 And Russia-Ukraine War Has Drafted A Manifesto For The NDC- Kusi Boafo (VIDEO)

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Public Sector Reforms, Kusi Boafo, has stated that the outbreak of Covid-19 and the Russia-Ukraine war which has damaged many economies around the world of which Ghana is not spared, is to the benefit of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

According to him, the effect of the war and the pandemic on Ghana’s economy is exactly what the NDC will use as its campaign message. “Covid-19 and Russia-Ukraine war has given some people what to draft in their manifesto”, he said.

In an interview with Kwaku Dawuro on Movement In The Morning Show, on Wontumi Radio/Movement TV, Mr. Boafo noted that “despite the ravaging effect of the virus and war, the government has been able to work diligently to ensure the economy bounces back. This is a clear indication that the ruling government has been able to live up to expectation,” he said. Quizzing that the question is ”what would they (NDC) have done if this had happened during their era?”.

Mr. Kusi Boafo added that ”as of yesterday, the government had released a whopping amount of 150Million cedis to pay the school feeding secretariat to ensure our school children are fed. For the first time, some constituencies are seeing an asphalt road courtesy the Akufo-Addo led administration. But some people are painting a black image about the government. Some countries have not paid their public sector workers salaries for the past three months. Meanwhile, the narrative is different here in Ghana; there’s not even a single outstanding salary to be paid”.

“In any case, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) should be ruling forever if not that we should sustain our democracy, because we cannot hand over our economy to lazy people. We are living in very difficult times but the government is working around the clock to ensure Ghanaians do not bear the effect of Covid-19 and the war”, he noted.

He stressed that the NDC do not have a manifesto nor is there any policy direction of the party. But the NPP have men to deliver and draft a better manifesto therefore Ghanaians should be vigilant.
