Count On Our Total Support To Win Dec. Election – Nsawam Adoagyiri MCE Assures NPP

Hon Isaac Kwadjo Buabeng , Chief Executive of Nsawam Adoagyiri Municipal Assembly (NAMA), one of the NPP’s strongholds in the Eastern Region, has assured the government that the Municipality is positioned to increase the party’s votes in the next elections.

Hon. Buabeng, who took his turn in the Election 2020 programme on Wontumi TV/Radio which creates a platform for the MMDCEs to showcase the government’s achievements within their jurisdiction, gave the assurance when he spoke to Martin Abu Prah, the host of the programme on Tuesday.

According to the MCE, the Municipality has benefitted extensively when it comes to the siting of government’s infrastructural projects,
“We have so far had our fair share of development projects which cover all the spectrum of development priorities. All such projects have been funded through the Common Fund, internally generated funds including market tolls, property rates etc. “ he noted.

Hon Buabeng started his political career as an Assembly Member where he served his people for 12 years before becoming a Presiding Member, In his current elevated position as the Municipal Chief Executive he has had the opportunity to directly supervise the government’s novelty development agenda for NAMA.

According to him the projects executed in the area of education under the NPP government include the construction of a two storey and 24 unit classroom blocks at the St. Martins SHS at Nsawam.

“A Library complex has also been established at the Adoagyiri Sabon Zongo” he disclosed.
Still on Education, he said ,” the Assembly has funded the construction of an ultra modern kindergarten block for the Adoagyiri Roman School.”

Hon Buabeng further disclosed that through the support of Blues Skies Company, an 8 unit classroom block at Esikabew has been constructed.

In the area of health, “NAMA has constructed CHPS compound at Ahwerease, Nsumia and Akraman and other places.” He said.

“Relying on the funding other sources including conveyance fee at the quarry sites, we have been able to construct boreholes at Bowkrom, Kwarfokrom, and Signboard. We have also distributed dust bins to the Kudjo communities as well as modernizing a 30-seater toilet facility at the Nsawam Lorrym station . There has also been the provision of a biogas toilet facility at Nana Osae Djan” He added.

Under the economic development projects, the MCE had a lot to showcase as the government’s achievements. These include the construction of a 24 market sheds and store rooms as well as 34 unit market stalls.

The private sector has also been responsive in boosting the economic activities in the NAMA. Under the corporate name, Ransboat, a poultry farm has been established at Nsawam as well as the construction of a T-.Roll factory at the Nsawam Prisons by Brompton Industries in addition to the location of a pharmaceutical company.
