Instead of concentrating on his official duties as a police officer, Nathan Kofi Boakye used to operate as “polling agent” and “EC official” for former President John Dramani Mahama, the Ashanti regional Chairman for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has disclosed.
Mr. Bernard Antwi-Boasiako stated in an interview on Wontumi TV that due to the presence of Commission of Police (COP) Kofi Boakye (retired) in Ashanti region, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) became boisterous and over confident they could do whatever it takes to rake in 1 million votes in the region.
“He (Kofi Boakye) was almost like the polling agent or EC official for John Mahama. This was the reason the NDC said they could get 1 million votes”, Mr. Bernard Antwi-Boasiako aka Chairman Wontumi said.
He however stated that through “science and data”, the NPP were able to overcome the plan COP Nathan Kofi Boakye cooked with the NDC for that election in 2016.
