Lecturer and former Head of Political Science department at The University of Education Winneba (UEW), Dr.Isaac Brako, has instructed the various political parties to consider fresh blood for election 2024.
There have been two school of thought in the conversation; one school believes that political party leaders should allow the old faces represent the party in 2024 because they understand the party and the people better, and another school of thought says new faces are the right fit if any party wants victory in the coming elections.
Dr.Brako, adding his voice to the conversation on Accra-based Movement TV’s political show, Movement in the Morning, he said “I think those who have already led should step down and give room for new faces to guarantee victory, fresh blood carries fresh ideas. Bring clean candidates who can make a difference”
Most political parties in Ghana at the moment are preparing candidates ahead of the elections. The New Patriotic Party is currently embarking on its constituency elections. Delegates have been cautioned to elect people who would take the party to victory in 2024.
“Put away your individual interest and be more focused on selecting people with good track records” Dr. Brako added.
