The Ashanti Regional Chairman for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mr. Bernard Antwi-Boasiako has thrown a subtle jab at Mr. John Dramani Mahama highlighting his poor preparations towards the 2024 presidential elections.
Mr. Bernard Antwi-Boasiako popularly known as Chairman Wontumi disclosed in an interview with Wontumionline.com that he has been monitoring every movement of the 2020 flagbearer for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and it appears when he addresses his party folks, he speaks to them as if he is going to contest President Akufo-Addo in the 2024 elections.
“John Mahama is a joker. He doesn’t even know Nana Addo isn’t going to contest for the 2024 elections…that is the saddest part. In 2024, the NPP is presenting a fresh candidate to beat Mahama so he should prepare for that person not Nana Addo”, Chairman Wontumi boldly said.
He continued that “it appears Mr. Mahama doesn’t even know what is going” and added that the development is a sad situation for the NDC.
Touting the achievement of President Akufo-Addo against his predecessor, Chairman Wontumi stated that John Mahama only brought “dumsor and corruption” to Ghanaians.
“Nana Akufo-Addo has made his mark; he paid all electricity and water bills for Ghanaians. Nana Akufo-Addo has made his mark; he brought 1D1F and ambulances to each district in Ghana. Nana Akufo-Addo has made his mark; he brought Planting for Food and Jobs. Nana Akufo-Addo has made his mark; he has reduced unemployment graduates in the country. Nana Akufo-Addo has made his mark, he has brought free SHS and roads and railways are also being constructed despite the economic difficulties”.
