Committee Probing Ejura Impasse Begins Work Today

The 3-member committee set to investigate the Ejura impasse will begin their work today.

This was revealed by Hon. Simon Osei Mensah.

He said, those who would be invited by the committee will go and state whatever they know about the incident.

Speaking on Wontumi Radio/TV Morning Show, the Ashanti Regional Minister indicated that the Regional Police are still investigating the ‘Macho Kaaka’ death.

He said, the Police will soon come out with the investigation conducted so far.

However, the Regional Minister flatly denied that he did not order the Military to go and shoot to kill in the process of restoring peace.

“Those saying that are ignorant because I cannot tell them the kind of strategy to adopt in self defense,” he said.

According to him, “the situation on the ground determines the strategy to adopt.”

The head of the REGSEC said, the security has so far done a fantastic job to restore peace in the area.

He said, the residents should help the Regional security to restore peace fully in the vicinity.
