Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola, has said Ruben Amorim will only face him as Manchester United boss in the Premier League and FA Cup.
Guardiola was speaking to the media after a 4-1 defeat to Amorim’s Sporting in the Champions League on Tuesday night.
It was the 39-year-old’s last home fixture in charge of the Portuguese club, as he is set to resume as the new United head coach on November 11.
Amorim will however be taking charge of a team that is struggling in the league and Europa League.
Guardiola was quick to rub it in after suffering a third defeat in a row with City.
“We will face them two times in the Premier League and maybe the FA Cup,” Guardiola said.
“In the Champions League it is not possible.”
