Mr. Bernard Antwi-Boasiako has asked Professor Patrick Loch Otieno Lumumba to retract his false assessment about the leadership qualities of President Akufo-Addo.

The Ashanti Regional Chairman for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) replied Professor Lumumba, stating that he has no basis for bashing President Akufo-Addo when he has little knowledge about how he is radically transforming Ghana.

The NPP Chairman also known as Chairman Wontumi in an interview with  Wontumionline.com, stated that Ghanaians appreciate the level of governance President Akufo-Addo has brought and didn’t share in the issues raised by Professor Lumumba.

He noted that Professor Lumumba, the Director of the Kenya anti-corruption Commission and also Director of Kenya School of Law, has the right to express his opinion but shouldn’t speak as if Ghanaians were not intelligent to decipher between good and bad governance.

Professor Lumumba is on record to have said that in the beginning of President Akufo-Addo’s tenure, had a vision to uplift Ghana in terms of industrialization and development but has so far, not achieved it.

But Chairman Wontumi refused his claims by indicating that under the leadership of President Akufo-Addo and Vice President Bawumia, they have restored the National Digital Property Address System which was previously not in Ghana.

He went on to list several feats such as restoration of teacher and nurse trainee  allowances, reduction in electricity and the introduction of drones to deliver medicines and blood as some of the remarkable achievements under the leadership of President Akufo-Addo.

Chairman Wontumi also stated that Ghana has been developed to have one district one factory, one constituency one ambulance and one village one dam.

He continued that the government of President Akufo-Addo is also working on Agenda 111 to construct district hospitals in all districts and new regional hospitals in Ghana.

The NPP Chairman lauded government for the free Senior High School initiative and free TVET to help enhance the educational sector.
