The Ashanti Regional Chairman for the New Patriotic Party, Mr. Bernard Antwi-Boasiako, has declared support for Mr. John Boadu ahead of the party’s election to elect national executives.
According to Mr. Bernard Antwi-Boasiako alias Chairman Wontumi, when the NPP was in opposition, it took John Boadu to stand the test of time and lead the party into government and deserves to be rewarded with another term.
He described Mr. Boadu as someone who has “passed through fire” and become stronger through that experience. He noted that the 2024 elections would be difficult so the NPP needs to build a team that would support Mr. John Boadu.
Chairman Wontumi declared support for the incumbent NPP General Secretary on Tuesday, May 31, 2022 at the Alisa Hotel.
In an address to the press which was recorded by Movement TV, Chairman Wontumi stated the NPP needs a leader who can match their main political opponents in 2024.
“Look at the pedigree of Asiedu Nketia, we (NPP) need someone like John Boadu to flaw him. John Boadu has beaten Asiedu Nketia three times so therefore, I am for John Boadu. I will always speak the truth; supporting him is nonnegotiable. we ought to win the 2024 elections”, he said.
