The Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party, Mr. Bernard Antwi-Boasiako, has recounted police brutalities he and some members of his party faced under former President John Mahama.
The vociferous NPP Chairman in an interview on the Wontumi Morning Show, revealed officers of the Police who has been assigned to protect them during a demonstration, ended up firing shots at them and in the process, he got hit.
“I was shot with a plastic bullet at Kantamanto and I fell down, I was with Ernest Owusu Bempah as at that time…there was a police officer with us and he got a phone call but as soon as he left my side the targeted shot hit me… The NPP members there put me in a taxi and I was taken care of till I became fit again”, the NPP Chairman known as Chairman Wontumi said.
