Of all the warlords the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has, Chairman Wontumi leads the pack, Yaw Opoku Mensah, has emphatically stated.
Yaw Opoku Mensah on Friday, stated on Wontumi TV that it will be disastrous on the part of the party to replace Chairman Wontumi as Ashanti Regional Chairman ahead of the 2024 general elections.
“Of all the warlords in NPP to get us political power, Chairman Wontumi is the eye of the gods. If we choose to sacrifice him, we do that at our own risk”, the NPP stated to supported his case.

He forewarned the NPP in Ashanti and at the national level, not to take an ill-advised decision on Chairman Wontumi when it comes to choosing a Regional Chairman noting that doing so, would make them “live to regret”.
“If you take Wontumi out, you will empower certain people to misbehave in the Ashanti region”, he added.
Chairman Wontumi, according to Yaw Opoku Mensah is an election winning machine and the only thing the NPP must do with him “is to unleash him”.
