The Ashanti Regional Chairman for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) together with some Members of Parliament and traditional authorities, have agreed to bear the full cost of Bawumia’s campaign in the upcoming super delegates conference.
This revelation was made by Mr. Bernard Antwi-Boasiako aka Chairman Wontumi on the Wontumi Morning Show.
“Ashanti MPs, senior members, some traditional chiefs and I, have met and decided that on the day of election, Bawumia shouldn’t bring water to the venue, pay for food and issue transportation. We will cater for the electorates for him to see we are grateful for the things he has done for us”, Chairman Wontumi said.
The gesture according to Chairman Wontumi, is to say thank you to vice President Bawumia for the things he has done for Ashanti region.
“I am speaking on behalf for the all the MPs. We want him to save him from spending his money we have taken every responsibility to pay for everything needed on the day of election. This is where the heart of the party is. We are using this to say thank you for the things he has done for us”, he said.
