Hon Agyemang noted that tree planting could help to avert environmental degradation whilst developing digital solutions to address climate change.

“I take this opportunity to encourage the Ghanaian media to use their digital platforms to educate the populace on the need for them to protect the environment and plant more trees”, the CEO appealed.

ASSURANCE:
Honourable Kwadwo Baah Agyemang gave the assurance that GDCL through the Ministry of Communications and Digitalisation will continue to participate actively in the Green Ghana Day.

He stressed that such effort has a far reaching effect on the nation of Ghana.

Apart from trees serving as wind-break and as shade from the sun, Hon Agyemang noted that they have an aesthetic importance.

“More importantly trees help to enhance the quality of air that persons breathe in particular location and it is therefore imperative that we all join in this noble idea from the NPP Government for us to periodically plant trees across the country “, Hon Agyemang noted.
