Census Night: GSS Lauds Outcome Of Ceremony
The Ghana Statistical Service (GSS) has lauded the outcome of the counting of all persons in transit and in short stay at places which was designated as census night.
The Head of Public Affairs of the GSS, Francis Nyarko Larbie said that everything went on smoothly as expected.
“The celebration went on perfectly and people expected to be counted on the night went on peacefully,” he said in an interview on Wontumi Radio/TV Morning Show on Monday.
According to the GSS Head of Public Affairs, there have not been any report on challenges so far from the census officials.
Mr. Nyarko Larbie reiterated that, today up to the next fortnight is slated for data collection and that everybody should avail himself to be counted.
He emphasized workers can go to work without staying home to wait for the census officials to count them.
He urged Ghanaians to exercise constraints when the officials get to their houses so they can ask any question they want to.
