Census Figures: Those Not Captured Won’t Have Effect On Results- GSS
The Ghana Statistical Service (GSS) says citizens who were not captured in the 2021 Population and Housing Census will not have any effect on the provisional results.
According to the Head of Publicity for the GSS, Francis Nyarko Larbi the uncounted figure will not surpass 5%.
“After every census, we do post enumeration survey to rectify anomalies encountered. We have even started that exercise but looking at things the results won’t change the figures already announced,” he said.
According to Nyarko Larbi, the GSS has done an excellent job of providing the results within 44 days.
“This was the first time we embarked on the digital census. Though there were some skirmishes during the counting we resolved along the line,” he insisted.
