Census 2021: Ghanaians Not Captured Should Cooperate With Authorities To Be Counted- Hon. Freda Prempeh

The Deputy Minister for Works and Housing, Hon Dr. Freda Akosua Prempeh has passionately appealed to uncounted Ghanaians in the 2021 census to allow themselves to be counted.

She said the Ghana Statistical Service (GSS) has extended the deadline to July 18 to get the uncounted captured.

Hon. Freda Akosua Prempeh said on Wontumi Radio/TV that the GSS has given out a code and that such Ghanaians can call for them to be counted.

The Tano North Member of Parliament affirmed that the census will help the government in making decisions for development of the economy.

“The census will help us know those that need rooms to sleep, number of clinics to build, and areas to fix the poor road networks.

Extension

The Ghana Statistical Service (GSS) has extended the deadline for the 2021 Population and Housing Census to Sunday, July 18.

This will allow enumerators complete work in the outstanding enumeration areas.

The exercise, which started on Monday, June 28, was expected to end today, July 11, 2021, in all sixteen (16) regions of the country.
