Thomas Kusi Boafo is wondering if Togbe Afede can stand the political inferno in Ghana should he accept to be running mate to former President John Mahama for the 2024 General election.
“The inferno in politics can a chief or man of God stand it?” he wondered.
According to Mr. Boafo, Togbe Afede has enjoyed a decent life and hardly can people spew insults at his direction due to the chieftaincy position he occupies in society.
In an interview with Isaac Oteng on Wontumi Radio 95.9 FM based in Accra, Mr. Boafo wondered if the Agbogbomefia of the Asogli State and President of Asogli Traditional Area is ready to forfeit his chieftaincy seat for a political one.
“I have not seen a chief do that. He could be expelled if he accepts it to be running mate…I doubt he will exchange his stool for the political seat. The game in politics is rough”, he explained.
The CEO of Public Sector Reforms continued by asking if Togbe Afede can handle the rough turf politics presents.
