Calling For CJ Resignation Is Superfluous- Lawyer Jabs NDC
A private Legal Practitioner, John Darko, says it is needless for the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) to call for the resignation of Chief Justice Anin Yeboah over the $5million bribery allegation against him.
According to the Lawyer, it is not the rightful way for Asiedu Nketia and NDC members to call for the head of the Chief Justice.
Speaking with Oheneba Nana Asiedu on Wontumi Radio/TV Morning Show, he said, “the Chief Justice says he was told by somebody and the person who told him has come out to deny.”
He stressed that, nothing has been proven for the Chief Justice to resign.
“There has to be a concrete evidence of the allegations for him to step down,” he emphasized.
According to him, the bribery allegation is not about the judicial service.
“We have politicized everything. When issues come on board let’s exercise patience and discuss it,” he urged.
The GIMPA lecturer noted that, Ghanaians lose confidence in the judiciary when they are bastardized.
Lawyer Darko insisted that the position of Annin Yeboah as Chief Justice does not grant him the audacity to influence the investigations.
