BREAKING: 6-Year-Old Boy Drowns @ Atwima Koforidua
A six year old school boy this afternoon got drowned in a stream at Atwima Koforidua’s suburb of Adanko Deka.
The body has been retrieved and sent to a nearby hospital .
According to an eye witness account, the boy known as Richmond, acompanied some play mates to swim in the stream and got drowned in the process.
The mother of the boy said to be a petty trader at Atwima Koforidua on hearing the sad news rushed to the scene almost after one hour had elapsed.
But in total disbelief of what had happened to her child , she picked the body, put it on her shoulder and ran with it to board a taxi cab, while screening, “,my son isn’t dead …my son isn’t dead.”
But her effort was needless as little Richmond had already given up the ghost more than one hour earlier.
